In the majority opinion in my country, the impeachment did nothing to damage the US.  Non-removal and even re-election definitely will.

In my opinion it hasn't. If fact it might have helped. Most Europeans think he is a terrible person and an even worse President.

It has energized the American people  to stand up against Trump and the Republicans.  Trump plans to rallly in Michigan this coming week and there is going to be a HUGE counter rally against him planned there.

Trump is the most hated man in America.

America is 100% done.  And we've done it....we own our country again!

It hasn't, no more than Clinton's did and no more than Nixon's Watergate mess did.  (Nixon was on the verge of impeachment when he resigned.)

However, TRUMP has damaged the US, and it will many years to repair that damage. Among other things, our international reputation and relationships are in the toilet. That matters; make no mistake.

He is not impeached until there is a vote in the majority of the full House of Representatives. At the moment only the judiciary committee of the House has said this will go through to a vote. It should be next week , about Wednesday.

    read link below.

edit. However, instead of just sitting back and watching and seeing if Trump is impeached or not many more Americans need to get themselves registered to vote for the next Presidential election in November 2020.

    extract.

"According to a 2012 study, 24% of the voting-eligible population in the United States are not registered to vote, equaling some 51 million U.S. citizens."

and even then only about half of  registered Americans bother to vote on election day.

They are hoping that mud will stick and enough swing voters in swing states vote against Trump on election day late next year.

Because republicans don't want to uphold the constitution.

Because Democrats will try anything to get into power or try and bring down a Republican President.
