A triangle has the angle sum of 180°. So to find out the third angle of the triangle, subtract 35 and 65 from 180.

To find x°, you'll have to subtract the third angle of the triangle from 180°. That's because the triangle's third angle and angle x together create a half turn (you can see this because the triangle's third angle and x are both next to each other above a straight line). A whole turn is 360°, therefore a half turn is 180°.
