    • “What are the differences between a Morkie and a Yorkie?”

The answer is going to depend on WHICH Morkie and WHICH Yorkie you mean

💁‍♂️In humans, a Morkie is a fan of Mork from the “Mork & Mindy” tv series

And a Yorkie is a person who grew up in Yorkshire.

🐩In dogs, a Morkie is the “cutesy” word used by people who have produced, or bought, a crossbreed cmbining a Maltese and a Yorkshire Terrier. And Yorkie is the term used by people too lazy to say or write the 5 syllables of Yorkshire Terrier (neither breed has an emoji yet)

Of the 4, I prefer the character acted by Robin Williams as Mork, an extraterrestrial who comes to Earth from the planet Ork in a small, one-Orkan egg-shaped spaceship.

Yorkie is a purebred dog (Yorkshire Terrier).  A "morkie" is a designer mutt dog - 1/2 Yorkie and 1/2 Maltese.

Ones a made up fake name for a mutt mix. The other is a short term for the Yorkshire Terrier which is a recognized AKC breed. Only a moron would buy a backyard breeder mutt.

Yorkie is an abbreviation for a Yorkshire Terrier, which is a purebred pedigree dog (only one full breed).

Morkie is a dog which is a hybrid cross between a Maltese and a Yorkshire terrier.NB when a dog is a hybrid mix, the dog isn't necessarily always half and half of each breed. They can be another type of mix, like 25% and 75% for instance.

    Hope this helps.

    • called the result a "hybrid". The world is unfortunately FULL of people who misuse words they were too lazy to research the MEANING of.

The term "Yorkie" is short for Yorkshire terrier, which is a real breed. A morkie is a cross between a Maltese and a Yorkie. In other words, it's a designer mutt.
