What are the chances a Facebook user can get in trouble with law enforcement for defamation of another user?

I've been made out to be a pedo after someone copied my picture and screenshot it and posted it and it said horrible things, sone actually think I was the one that wrote it!

Chances are low because defamation is not a criminal charge.

Defamation is a civil matter. You would have to sue.

At least in the US defamation is a civil matter and you would have to demonstrate damages. You might get punitive damages but the evidence bar is much higher and requires a showing of malice.
