A "serving" of meat is generally about 3 ounces.

One to two servings of meat per day is plenty for anyone.  Remember that fish and chicken are the best meat choices followed by pork and beef is usually considered the worst choice.  Red meats are the "bad" meats that should be limited to about two or three times PER WEEK.

How much is too much - that depends on each person.  Someone with no health issues and a low risk for cholesterol or heart issues can usually get away with eating more meat than someone who either already has health issues or has high risk for those issues.  Too much meat can contribute to problems with cholesterol, gout, and heart conditions.

You should eat meat three or four times a week. Not more than 1 - 1 1/2 pounds/week. And remember there are thousands of other food sources to get an adequate amount of proteins.

When you give yourself "soft serve day" aka "the protein sh*ts" you've had too much. It's when you shoot a greasy wad that sticks to the sides of the toilet and it gets wetter and wetter until you're just squirting out pure liquid. And it'll take place over 12 dumps in a few hours. That's soft serve day.

Some people eat strictly carnivore diets, which means all they eat are animal products. so they eat a lot of meat.

When you start eating so much that you are not eating enough other foods (like if you stop eating half your vegetables because you eat more meat instead) or you go over your calorie needs because of it.

You should eat 2-3 servings a day.

A serving should be about 3-4 ounces. Or if you want to measure visually, about the size of a deck of cards.
