What are the remedies for restless dog in car?

My dog is very restless during car rides. He keeps shifting from one window to the other.

He can never be still. I put him in the rear seat.

What can I do to reduce his restlessness? He will also try to come in front.

He's excited. Lots of stuff to see. Get a seatbelt harness for him that keeps him at least in the back seat or you're going to end up in an accident. If he's a really small dog then put him in a crate.

Put him in a harness and attach a special seat belt that hooks to the car's seat belt and then to the harness.

get him some of his favorite toys and put him in the back, and to prevent him from coming upfront buy a dog gate for your cars

Crates were created to transport animals from one place to another. There are also seat belts for dogs. There are wire barriers to keep the dog in the back. There are probably other ways to help your dog but this is a good start on your research on how to handle your dog.

As dogs should not be unrestrained in the car while travelling as they distract you driving and in the case of an accident will be thrown forward and threw the front window causing injury or worse to front passenger/driver, you get a crate and crate it, or a seatbeat harness and until you organise that, you put the dog on a lead and trap the handle of the lead in the door as you close it, that way it is secure and before you open the door to get the dog, you hold the handle of the lead and have control of the dog

They make seat belt/harnesses to secure a dog safely in a car/vehicle which can be purchased at pet supply stores or online.  Also and depending on the size of the dog and the size of your vehicle, you can crate the dog if that's a possibility in your case.

He may be feeling sick in the stomach riding in back. Don't feed him before taking him in the car.

Take him for a brisk 20 minute walk
