How to make peace with death?

I just can't stop thinking about it.

Well, chances are you'll be thinking about it until you're at least in your mid-80s. If you want to think about it less, avoid cruel or violent TV or video games, spend time doing chill activities like listening to relaxing music and going for walks, drink herbal tea.

Maybe reading "The Great Divorce" by C. S. Lewis will help.

Also, "Understanding Yourself" by Mark Prophet.

You have to realize how the existence of death improves your life. If you couldn't die, nothing would be exciting because if you messed up there wouldn't be any consequences. If you lived forever you would eventually not have anything left to do, you would become so bored you might even wish you could die. Eventually you would start to consider everything to be meaningless, since it only has a relatively short term effect in the grand scheme of things, and you would actually be around to witness the grand scheme of things.

tl;dr immortal people wouldn't be happy
