Is Sao Paulo the richest city in Latin America?

    According to the most recent statistics available, in terms of the overall GDP of the city (they were not clear on whether the GDP figure is only for the area within the city limits or whether it might cover the environs as well), the richest cities in Latin America are:

    #1: Mexico City, Mexico

    #2: Buenos Aires, Argentina

    #3: São Paulo, Brazil

    #4: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

    #5: Santiago, Chile

      Correct, but not correct. These figures are for GDP of the cities per capita.
      If you look at the total GDP, Sao Paulo it actually has the largest total GDP. See my link.

    Brazil is in the top 3 of many Valuable resources quite often alongside India and china
