Christians, which of the following Bible verses is an accurate depiction of the events following the resurrection (read below)?

Matthew 28:8: "The women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples."

Mark 16:8: "Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid."

Both are correct, they were told to tell Yeshua's disciples that he would meet them in Galilee.

Both. They said nothing to anyone until the got to the disciples and then they told them. Hint: they passed by many people on the way back to the disciples.

We know the women went, the tomb WAS empty, and

    the disciples learned of this.

We know John was closest,  then Matthew,  then Luke,

    then Mark.

But the threads are all there repeated.

    This is normal.

  • They were afraid to tell anyone except for the disciples, so they told no one else they encountered on the way.
