Gave my landlord notice Im moving he had a temper tantrum and gave me a bad reference what now?

    There is not really anything you can do about it.  Technically you could sue him if he lied but it will not get you anything.

    Pack, move, and live happily ever after.

    You can't stop adults from acting like children, you can't force someone to give you a good reference, and you rarely even need a reference anymore these days.

    So?  Late payments, or moved without proper notice?  You left out "why" he gave you a bad reference.

    Provide using receipts for rent you always paid on time, show a copy of your notice to leave and explain to the new landlord/letting agent that the old landlord was not happy you are leaving..nothing you can do about his reference

    You can't change who he is and you shouldn't even try.  If he had something bad to say, deal with it.
