Most historians agree that the best post war US President was Eisenhower. He fought tirelessly against the Pentagon in not using nukes in Korea and on his way out he warned us all about the "military-industrial complex".

Harry Truman was probably the best.

He kept the Russians from squeezing the Allies out of Berlin by using the Berlin Airlift.

He kept the communists from taking over South Korea and biggest of all.

He desegregated the military and gave thousands and thousands of people of color the chance to take advantage of the opportunities of serving in the military at jobs other that those lower level jobs they are previously dumped into.

During Reagan years, after turning around the recession, the percent of population of the middle class, was the highest ever seen in any country in history. He did more for more then any other.

I respect Regan for ending the cold war. However, the country was in a recession.

    In one respect, for sure.

"The presidency of Ronald Reagan in the United States was marked by multiple scandals, resulting in the investigation, indictment, or conviction of over 138 administration officials, the largest number for any U.S. president."
