I need help with this ?
It’s about the 1982 version of the movie Annie. Was Carol Burnett really drinking alcohol in it since they made her to play an alcoholic? Or was it something else?

Seriously? She's an actor.
She was drinking water - nothing more. Actors don't really drink onset!
That's why it's called acting.
She wasn't 'made' to play anyone. She auditioned for the part because she is an actor and wanted the role and the work.

Something else. The idea here is that a scene may be lots of "takes." You wouldn't want your star to become progressively more drunk as the day goes on.
