    80 • 0 = 0

If you have an earthquake it wasn't a zero.

    Log₁₀ 80 = 1.9031

If you have a Ricter scale earthquake of 1, an earthquake 80 times greater would have a value of 2.9

If you have a Ricter scale earthquake of 2, an earthquake 80 times greater would have a value of 3.9

If you have a Ricter scale earthquake of 3, an earthquake 80 times greater would have a value of 4.9
