Is this flirting or interest?

A guy friend and I were going to get together. But he had a major car repair this week that was expensive and grad school exams. And I did not want to bother him so I said " you have a lot going on and I don't want to add to it" and his response was " you would not be adding to it, you would be extracting from it". Is this flirting or interest? I do have to say he is cute..

I think that was a very nice answer! You'd be a lovely change from the burdens of the week. He's looking forward to seeing you, and I'd say that shows interest.

That was a courteous answer to a situation you perceived to be problematic. My advice: Let him concentrate on his grad school exams and his car repair. When he comes up for air afterward, show that you're glad to see him.

"Is this flirting or interest?" you ask. I'd say it's interest.
