Moving out of apartment due to maintenance problems Landlord got mad and threatened to take us to court for damages ?

    If your lease is up and you give proper notice then go ahead and move out. Him threatening to sue you should make you all that much more willing to move out and soon.

    Google the Tenant/Landlord rules for your state. Then examine your lease between the landlord and you. You will find your answers between the two documents.

    If he sues you for damages you did not cause you always have the right to dispute his claim in court.
