Is it possible a person could cause you to get Hypertension????

A relative of mine keeps lying, cheating and stealing which causes me to stress out. I was diagnosed with Hypertension because of it I think.

    stress can raise your blood pressure, Hypertension is generally a chronic biological condition, so 'technically' no ... try distance and coping skills

    All of that can cause you STRESS, cant cause hypertension.

    High blood pressure is often caused by a bad diet or genetics, an abundance of stress, drinking or all of the above.

  • Absolutely! Undue stress & anger & bitterness can absolutely contribute to hypertension, AND coronary artery disease as well.
