When will we have an open investigation into Joe & Hunter Biden’s conflict of interest in Ukraine?

How is there a conflict of interest?
- marsel_duchampLv 72 months ago
It was a potential conflict of interest and not a smart move by Hunter Biden. Too bad for you there is nothing showing that conflict of interest affected actions. Having a conflict of interest looks bad but is not illegal.

The day after we have an open investigation into Ivanka and Jared Kushner regarding their complete lack of qualifications to serve as "advisors" to the incompetent Donald Trump.

We don't need one into Joe's actions, all the relevant facts are publicly available. Viktor Shokin, the prosecutor general that Biden helped cause to be fire, was NOT in fact investigating Burisma as is commonly (and inaccurately) claimed. Shokin's PREDECESSOR had started that investigation, Shokin had paused it. Shokin was widely regarded as corrupt, and many European nations as well as the EU itself were calling for his removal publicly as was the Obama administration. So if Biden fired Shokin for Burisma, he did exactly the wrong thing since Shokin had already paused (though not formally ended) the investigation.
This was all known to Trump because Trump's own aide, Morrison, said that he and other advisors briefed Trump on this multiple times, telling him that it was a debunked conspiracy theory that Biden had been protecting his son.
Now, if you want to investigate how Hunter Biden keeps getting jobs he isn't qualified for, sure, I'm all in favor of that. But it's not unusual for the children of powerful people to get jobs they don't qualify for. You could probably convict every child of every congressperson. Still wrong, but it's not particularly unusual.

We had 5 additional investigations of Hillary and Benghazi, because the first one turned up nothing. It has zero to do with facts. It has to do with 2 things. First, can the Republican base, being very stupid and gullible, be convinced by non-facts. Second, do Republicans have a platform, where they have the power to do that.

A) There is no evidence of a material conflict. B) Conflict of interest is not a crime, only an internal policy consideration.

not a crime: sitting on the board of a corporation.
a crime: abusing the power of your office by withholding military aid while soldiers are dying because you want to personally benefit from an investigation of a political opponent.
POP QUIZ: can you spot the difference?

I'd like to know the answer to that too!!

They've already DONE an investigation. They found no wrong-doing. It's also completely irrelevant to Donald Trump's crimes if Biden committed crimes or not.
