America never had any colonies or ever engaged in colonialism. This is why I don't understand, why is mass immigration to America allowed?
Countries like Britain or France have immigrants from poor countries because that is their payback for colonialism. This I can understand. But why does America accept people, forgive the expression, from sh*thole countries, when America never had any colonies or a colonial empire? What gives poor people the right to be a burden in America, when America never colonized them and is not guilty for their own misery?

Because it needs it. America can't produce enough food without them. The immigrants are not a burden on America; America is burdened by the fact that it does not have enough immigrants.

Of course we had colonies.

“America never had colonies“.
Hawaii was always part of North America?
The Philippines was an American colony.
Puerto Rico was ceded to the US in 1898. Colony.
I think you may want to ask the indigenous North Americans whether you ever colonized anything. Under the British, you had 13 colonies.

America literally was founded by pro-immigration immigrants, and their descendents. Our original motto was "E Pluribus Unum". It means: "Out of many, one."

Sooo... you've never had a history class and have never heard of the first 13 colonies?
Sure, they later turned into states, but they were colonies first before that move was ever decided and their borders in many cases were not always what we know of today. But colony or an expanding number of states, what's the difference.
And why do you think having colonies has any role in this...
Do you think that land was empty? Because the eastern seaboard was home to many tribes before whites moved in and pushed them out. I mean, its not like now where you could just move to another suburb and keep on living like you do now, they were tribes who were adapted and knew how to thrive in those regions and being forced to go elsewhere that was a major shift in how people live off the land would have had a large impact on their survival.

"Countries like Britain or France have immigrants from poor countries because that is their payback for colonialism."
Are you saying multiculturalism is a revenge? So immigrants don't come to enrich the country,. They come to white countries because they want to colonize it ? Then "diversity is strength" is a false propaganda.
This has nothing to do with past colonies. Sweden did not have any colonies. Why should it be invaded by Muslims ? Even Germany was not a major colonial power at all. Why should it be invaded by Muslims ?
All white countries are under attack regardless of the past.
America, Canada, Australia were very homogenous until very recently. Birthrates plays only a very small role here. The main culprit is our own elites changing the immigration laws to replace Europeans of these countries.
USA - 1965 Immigration Act.
Australia - 1976 - White Australia policy abolished.
Canada - 1976 Immigration Act that directed the source of immigrants to Asia and Africa
New Zealand - 1987 Immigration Act that directed the source of immigrants to Asia.
Poor immigrants in America today are mostly illegals jumping the border.

US just uses imperialism instead. Rather than directly having the state take control of a country, they use either direct invasion or covert regime change via the CIA to overthrow a country, then they prop up a puppet dictatorship that mass privatizes the economy. Once the economy is privatized, US moves its corporations there that buy up all natural resources and takeover the country. US corporations control the country rather than the US government, therefore they pretend they aren't just as bad the colonists, while destroying the country, raping and pillaging them of their natural resources, destroying their environment, corrupting their government, and killing their people. But it's US corporations put in there by the US government doing it, not the US government directly! There it's not colonialism, it's... different!

Yes, we have. We just called them "territories" instead of colonies. But, what do you think Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands are?
- Anonymous2 months ago
Nobody alive is responsible for anything that happened in the past, and immigrants bring crime and poverty.
- Maga MyersLv 42 months ago
They did in the US. Though they were British at the time. And the territories could be considered colonies.
