Can you have strep throat without swollen tonsils?

I most symptoms of strep but not swollen tonsils. High temperature, very red throat (not tonsils), loss of appetite, no cold symptoms, swollen lymph glands and very painful swallowing. Can you get strep throat without your tonsils swelling?

    People with no tonsils can have strep it has nothing to do with your tonsils

    Usually your tonsils are swollen with Strep but not always. Your symptoms sound very much like Strep. The answer to your question is yes because I have had it and I don't have tonsils. See your doctor though because you may need antibiotics to fight it.
