Do some couples that abuse their children do so to improve their sex life? Like do they become aroused seeing their child(ren) suffering?

And what if the child is an adult, but the parents keep sabotaging them (damaging their car, making them late for work, stalking them, turning their friends/coworkers/roommates/landlord against them) in an attempt to keep them financially dependent on them?

There are situations where a man whose female partner refuses him sex will end up sexually abusing his children, but that's based on the myth of the unstoppable male libido, and it's a bit strange to describe it as "improving" sex life.

No! More likely the children are unfortunate accidents.

The children cannot be sold, or killed, so they become a ball & chain to the parents society.

The abuse is just that the parents have no care and find the children a nuisance.
