Tax Law: Can An Unprofitable For-profit Accept Volunteers/Donations?

    Sure.

    But you have to count them as income and pay taxes on them.

    And the people who donate them can NOT deduct them from their taxes.

    And you can NOT solicit donations under false pretenses.

      This is what I thought. Know anything about the volunteers/labor law? I know businesses shouldn't have volunteers, but i feel like it's OK to have volunteers if I'm not actually making a profit.

    It's the same as for a profitable for-profit.

      That makes sense for taxes. Not for volunteers, which I think would be labor law.
