# What is the equivalent capacitance in the figure?

I tried so many combinations but I can't get the answer. Final answer is 0.86 μF. Any help is really appreciated.

resolve the parallel branches

C = 2.0 + 1.0 = 3.0 mu F

then do the overall series

1/C = 1/3.0 + 1/3.0 + 1/2.0 = 7/6

C = 6/7 = 0.86 mu F to 2 sig figs
