Should I take my protein shake after workout or before? Some say take after some say take before, which for better muscle gain results?

After, always after. That is when you need the big protein load.

After, around 30 minutes. It provides essential nutrients for muscle recovery just in the right time as protein shake is easily digested and absorbed.

If you are a hard gainer, you should stay well fed before during and after. I have a mixture of whole milk, whey protein, dextrose, glutamine and creatine during the workout between exercises. I have a light breakfast before, and a larger brunch after.
