Can the y in Zyler be pronounced like an long e?

    No, that would be pronounced like 'eye' - Z-eye-ler.

    Names can be pronounced any way the person wants to pronounce them. I know people named Carolyn who pronounce it "Carol -in" and some who pronounce it "Carol-line". I know people named Nina who pronounce it NEE-na and some who pronounce it NIGH-na". You can do what you want. Just think how annoying it's going to be when people pronounce it the way THEY see it- which would be Zigh-ler in this case.
