I know lawyers who make in the high six figures and other who make in the low five figures. It depends on what type of law you practice, what client you have, where you live stc.

There are a lot of variables.

Depends on where in the world you are and what type of law you're practicing. It's about like asking how much money can you make in business. Yes, you might see some people like Bill Gates making a lot, but there are a whole lot more running small businesses just getting by, or even going out of business.

In the U.S., there are not as many high-paying attorney positions out there as many people tend to believe. And the high-paying positions tend to come with high levels of required work hours, too.

Most people coming out of law school these days have $100,000+ in debt which doesn't help the "how much do you make" calculations.

A string usually runs all the way from one end to the other, which is long enough.

Depends on WHERE, whether or not it's a general practice firm, sole practitioner or law firm.

In MY area the starting salary with a firm is about $80,000 a year.  Considering the cost of law school and the loans that are usually involved, that is not a lot of money.  Out of that $80,000 comes professional insurance.

Five years out of law school, successful private practice, I'd say in the area of $500,000.

Zero.  It's a saturated market and not as easy to get into as most people believe.

Depends upon what area of law you practice and if you are in the public or private sectors.   IF you become a public defender or part of a prosecutor's office, you will make less than if you were an associate in a high powered firm.

You need to check out pay scales for various types of law you want to or think you might practice.  The area you choose to practice has an impact too.
