Waterfowl hunting in Newport, Rhode Island... Need advice!?

Hey guys, I just moved to Fort Adams. Rhode Island and it's hunting regulations are all over the place and I am still trying to figure it all out. I have a pretty good grasp for the deer hunting side of things but I am trying to figure out where I can hunt ducks and geese. Waterfowl are all over this place and I need to get out there! I do see the public lands map on their fish and wildlife page but I didn't know if their were any locations on Newport's shoreline that I can scout and hunt?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Happy to be of service.  Right here would be a good place to start.

It has become a maze of rules and regs. for duck hunting. I love duck hunting but

I gave it up about five years ago due to all the rules.  Maybe you can get someone

at a sporting goods store to explain it.  Good luck. Maybe you can get one by Christmas.
