    since the initial vertical velocity is zero,

    h = ½gt^2

    t = √(2h/g) = 5.38 sec

    x = v*t = 35m/sec * 5.38sec = 188 m

    distance = 1/2 * a * time^2.  find the time.

    Distance forward the package moves (neglecting air resistance) = time * horizontal speed.
