It's the climate, especially at this time of the year. Mine is using a lot more water out here in the desert. If you feel you are getting too much humidity and have a newer machine, many have "user adjustable" humidity levels. Try adjusting the level down a little bit. If that reduces the quality of your sleep you can always adjust it back up.

it is too dry where your using it and my wife has the same problem with hers

If you are living in a climate that has become very cold at this time of the year the air will be very dry. Anytime that is the case any available moisture will evaporate at a faster rate.
