Delaying period with birth control?

I’m currently on my period and on my sugar pills right now, and i’m going on vacation in exactly a month and want to avoid having a period on it, can I just start my next pack 2 weeks from now and avoid having it then?

No. It is not a good idea to try to change the timing of your period. What you can do is go to the doctor and see if you can get on long cycle pills. That will give you a period once every 3 months or so. If you start that now you can put off your next period for several months.

To skip a period with your birth control pills, just skip the sugar pills and start your next pack. This will keep the level of active hormones in your body at a steady level and prevent periods until you take the sugar pills.
