Are dentistd supposed to rest their hand on your face (forehead and stretch open your lips) as they do a cleaning?

Just curious if thats normal. I felt he was too comfortable placing his hand on my face as if to cover it. He was actually i think touching my eyeball (eyelid was closed).

Each dentist is going to have their own process/style when engaging with their patients. If you feel your dentist crossed a boundary, tell him.
