Velocity of canoe (v₂) = ?
Using conservation of momentum:-
m₁v₁ = m₂v₂
= v₂ = m₁v₁/m₂ = 45kg x 3.5m/sec / 80kg
= 1.968m/sec ≈ 1.97m/sec
