Could Someone describe a white collar internship?

I'd love to imagine it but I cant, and I can't find good answers online, I would happily accept websites with descriptions!!

    This would be a job given to someone who shows promise of staying with the job for a long time, because it implies that they will invest a lot into training you.

    I see some people here have already mentioned the two most common types of jobs:  white collar and blue collar.  They didn't mention the third (and newest) type of job that's taking the nation by storm and quickly emerging as one of the biggest overnight sensations we've ever seen:  shock collar

    White collar means desk work. Blue colour is trade. Or it does in the 

    UK.
