You can't hear a baby in the womb crying, because babies in the womb are unable to cry; or make any kind of sound. In order to be able to cry or make any kind of sound, you have to be able to breathe and take in air. Babies in the womb can't  breathe until after they're born.

You need air to make noise when you cry.  Babies do cry in the womb, it just doesn't make noise.

Because your vocal chords don't make sounds unless they have air passing over them.

There's no air in there except for what the baby's farts supply.

Because in order to cry, they must have air in their lungs. The baby is surrounded by amniotic fluid and will not use their lungs until they are born.

Because they do not, and biologically cannot. Firstly if it is in the womb then it is a fetus not a baby. The womb is fluid filled, and a babies lungs do not inflate, and thus be biologically able to move air over the vocal chords, until after it has been born. While in the womb the fetus also receives multiple hormone washes from the mother which keeps the fetus calm and content, it doesn't really start to act and perceive things on its own until after it is born, so there is also no need to cry even if it could.

You do understand their lungs are ALWAYS filled with fluid during gestation, and they physically cannot drown, correct?
