Is the GRE mathematics test different from the GRE quantitative section of the General GRE exam?
Also, my grad school only cares about my GRE quantitative score. Can I just take the GRE quantitative portion and skip the other sections?

The GRE math subject test consists of 66 multiple-choice questions, drawn from math courses commonly offered at the undergraduate (university) level.
50 percent of the questions involve calculus. About 25 percent of the questions in the test are in elementary algebra, linear algebra, abstract algebra, and number theory. The remaining questions deal with other areas of mathematics.
The GRE general test only focuses on K-8 math topics.
