Does Vitamin B12 pills and Iron pills make red blood cells?

I have ITP and ran out of Folic acid pills for a week but I have been taking Vitamin b12 and iron pills. The blood doctor told me after my 4 treatments to stay on iron pills and vitamin B 12 pills but she didn’t mention about the Folic acid. The doctor knew what medicines I was taking

B12 and iron are major constituents of red blood cells.  Folic acid is generally not a limiting factor in productions of RBCs but it may play a role in platelet production.   There's no way to evaluate your docs intentions without knowing the trends in your blood work.   The best solution when you have questions about your treatment is to call your doc's office.  Call them and ask if you should continue the folic acid.
