Is shat a word?
If it is, is it past tense of ****?
- busterwasmycatLv 72 months ago
if you follow the sit-sat model for sh-it rather than a regular form (****-shitted). There does not appear to be a consensus on this one.

Shut is a word and Shat may form part of the name of a person.

I wished in one hand and shat in the other.
Yep! Still works for me.

Yes, and yes. It is the past tense of sh*t. There is no reason for it not to be in any dictionary.

Oikoo is correct: it is generally understood. The word was used in a poem by the great poet W. H. Auden in 1965, so it has some legitimacy.

it's not in my dictionary
- pearlmarLv 72 months ago
No it is not a word.

It is, in that it is generally used and understood. It has a way to go before it is in all the dictionaries.
