What can you do with customer service experience aside from fast-food work?

I've been in customer service for a long time... as well as fast-food.

I want to do more, but customer service is all I know.

Any ideas?

Become a wife and mom.  You'll get all the work you can handle 24/7, only without the paychecks each Friday.

Any job that involves dealing with the 'public' / customers, anything from shop work to receptionist, hospital workers, hotel staff, restaurant workers, police work, counselling, e.t.c.

  • There's a lot of customer service jobs out there that don't involve fast food. Try searching customer service in job sites and see what you can apply for.

Hotel, motel, retail, food, if you want to continue with customer service. The you need to decide large chain, small shop, or something in between. You do want to look into the management training programs almost all the chains have if you wish to go into it full time, as a career and such.

^ I'm sure they already do, like you, Jack. according to your other answer where you were rude and said if you're old, no one wants to see you and younger people have more of a chance, completely disregarding experience.
