What about orange...can he go on a pizza?

OK so we all know how delicious and amazing is pineapple on pizza.

So many times he saved the day and made life worth living, but what if he were unavailable for some reason?

What if pineapple slept in, or he got stuck in traffic, or immigration turned up at 6AM and deported him? Or what if he got a hot date with a lady pineapple?

Could a close friend or relative step in to take his place and do the job just as well?

What if his cousin the orange were to sub in for him? He can be segmented or cut into chunks or slices. Might a ham and pineapple pizza morph into a ham and orange pizza and dazzle our taste buds like never before?

I think I might really be onto something here, this can be the next big thing?

Yes, he can go on a pizza as long as you remove the membrane from each segment.    You don't want to eat baked membrane 'cause it just ain't nice in the mouth.

Pineapple doesn't have membrane separating the segments so there is no textural issue.
