does airlines only charge 1 ticket when 2 are booked online.?

I'm not sure what you mean. The cost of the TWO air tickets should appear on your total. But perhaps they charge a fee for online booking? In that case, there would be only one fee.
But if you aren't being asked to pay the price of TWO tickets, then something has gone wrong, and you should contact the airline NOW THIS MINUTE.

You will see one figure on your credit card or bank but it will be for both tickets.

No, you get charged for all the tickets you purchased.

No, they charge for all of the tickets that you book. So if you were only charged for one, then you only successfully booked one.

No. If you're only seeing one charge, then only one ticket has been booked. Go on the airlines website and look under My Flights. Or call the airline.

Do? Not “does”? And they charge for both tickets, of course.
