Xbox controller battery compartment doesn’t work?

I took my xbox one controller apart to replace the headphone jack and when I put it back together it wouldn’t turn on using batteries. But it does turn on if I plug it into a electricity source using micro-USB. I took apart the controller again and I think I found the issue- one of the pieces that would connect the battery compartment seems lopsided (check image). How would I go about fixing this?

The batteries feel slightly looser when I put them in, but the angle of the battery contacts looks normal.

Update 2:

Update again: I found the problem, never mind hahah

Maybe it's placed in the wrong way or the battery thing got bent
