I think you're mistaken. America is a continent, not a country. And the countries in America, which are made up of the countries Canada, United States, Mexico and Brazil, could afford to help certain parts of Africa and India. Remember, that not every part of Africa and India are in poverty. One part that has one of the worst poverty in Africa is Sudan. It has a shortage of water, which is what caused this poverty. But thanks to many organizations around the globe that have created water pipes for fresh water, poverty there has decreased dramatically. Now, for India, that's another story. There really is not much poverty there. The reason why its dirty, which is what makes people confuse it with poverty, is simply due to its large population. It is the 2nd largest populated country on Earth, and I have found that the larger the population in an area, the more dirty it will be. Take California for example. It is the most population state with 30,000,000 people, and it has the highest pollution in the United States, which is what causes all the forest fires you see on television news. Take New York City as well. It has the largest city population in the US and it is the dirtiest. And Lalbagh Thana, the most populated neighborhood in the world in India. It is in the dirtiest country, so its most likely pretty dirty. Hope this answers your question!

America, although technically the United States of America, has America in its name and that's an acceptable and recognisable way to shorten its name. Africa, on the other hand, is a huge continent and could swallow Europe whole many times over, and the continent of Africa contains many countries. The continent of Africa is vastly wealthier than America and should look after their own. Angola's an obscenely wealthy African country that does not distribute its wealth fairly to the poor even within Angola. Then you mentioned the extraordinarily wealthy country of India, with vast deposits of gold and precious gems. India has poor people because the Rich people in India are incredibly greedy and stingy. Again, they should look after their own. It does NOT make the world a "better place" when Americans try to feed the countries with cruel rulers. The US sent tonnes of food to Ethiopia and the greedy rulers let it rot in warehouses. The poor of other countries need to fight their own revolutions against their greedy tyrants and oppressors. Americans shouldn't have to run around fighting all of your battles for you and feeding the world like you were all a bunch of right babies.

The US is not rich! Most everyone has credit card debt, mortgage payments, and lives paycheck to paycheck. Even the US Govt is in so much debt, (it is trillions) our grandchildren will probably still be trying to pay it off.

The US does not have the money to send to other countries. There are a huge majority of children here getting free school lunches daily because their parents cannot afford to pay for their own child’s lunch. It’s sad, very sad, to hear of the struggles of a mother trying to provide for her children. We don’t have the means to help shelter her, or take care of our sick or mentally ill who populate the homeless camps.

It is not like the TV shows it to be. Well, some places are, but they are not the everyday American working family.

From 1946-2012 India received $65 billion in aid from the US.  Every year the US gives about $8 billion in aid to African nations.

Americans only care about themselves, Why do you think they stolen the east territory of the indians and the the west territory from mexicans?... americans  claim to be "patriotic" and "heroic" but they are nothing more than a bunch of thieves and murders.

Africa isn't a country. It is the second largest continent, one fifth again as big as the whole of North America from Panama to Greenland. It has fifty four countries and some of them are very rich indeed.

There is little you can do when a peoples' problems stem from ongoing hate and ignorance.  If a nation suffered a tragedy like an earthquake or a disease outbreak, then others can readily step in to provide aid.  But if you have a people who just enjoy murdering each other, refused to overcome centuries of indifference, and prefer to latch onto archaic belief systems that intentionally repress them then... well, they're screwed.
