There was fire that happened early 1900s killed hundreds I believe it was by a boat or something like. What was that fire?

      That wasn't a fire.  The Eastland capsized.  It was arguably the stupidest marine disaster in history.  Eastland was poorly designed: too top-heavy, and had a tendency to list.  It was overcrowded, and capsized.  Hundreds of passengers drowned within a few feet of the dock!

    Adding to the list of notable fires: the Triangle Shirtwaist factory fire in New York City.

    Perhaps the fire in Chicago was the Columbia Exposition fire in 1891. Or the Union Stockyards fire in 1910. The infamous Great Chicago fire that destroyed the city was in1871.  The url below lists the great fires in Illinois.

    There have been a lot of fires that have killed hundreds but you may be thinking of the 1900 Hoboken Docks fire which.occurred on June 30, 1900, and killed at least 326 persons in and around the Hoboken, New Jersey piers of the Norddeutscher Lloyd (NDL) shipping company.[

    The General Slocum sank in the East River in NY in 1904.1,021 passengers were killed.
