Why do Christians eat pigs? ?
Muslims and Jews don’t. It’s written in leviticus too when God told Moses not to eat pork. The Seventh Day Adventists are the only branch of Christianity who actually follow this rule.

Why did God call pork unclean and said not to eat it. Because God created the pig to be a scavenger and not meant for human consumption. Did God recreate the pig and make it clean, no He did not. It was unclean then and it is still an unclean animal to eat today. Jesus never said it was ok to eat pork. Pork is an unclean food in the OT and it is still unclean today.
The law and commandment on pork was never changed. Read Matthew 5 and rightly divide the Word.
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Christians are free to eat whatever they want. Leviticus addresses those under the law. Christians are not under the law.
Your last claim is false. Lots of people do not eat pork besides Adventists and Muslims as a part of their religion.

Christians, of course, bear in mind that the prohibition against eating fat was part of the Mosaic Law. They are not under the Law, including its requirements related to animal sacrifices.- Romans 3:20 "Therefore, no one will be declared righteous before him by works of law, for by law comes the accurate knowledge of sin." Romans 7:4 "So, my brothers, you also were made dead to the Law through the body of the Christ, that you might become anothers ,the one who was raised up from the dead, so that we should bear fruit to God." Romans 7:6 "But now we have been released from the Law, because we have died to that which restrained us, in order that we might be slaves in a new sense by the spirit and not in the old sense by the written code." Romans 10:4 "For Christ is the end of the Law, so that everyone exercising faith may have righteousness." Colossians 2:16, 17 "Therefore, do not let anyone judge you about what you eat and drink or about the observance of a festival or of the new moon or a sabbath. Those things are a shadow of the things to come, but the reality belongs to the Christ."Source(s): jw.org

Adventists are not Christian, and they can do whatever they want to do. Christians do not follow all the laws and customs of Judaism, because their founder, Jesus Christ, didn't.

Consider what we are being told, as Christians, by Peter's dream about foods (Acts 10:9-16):
"About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. Then a voice told him, 'Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.'
"'Surely not, Lord!' Peter replied. 'I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.'
"The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”
"This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven."
The key operative phrase is "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean." In other words, the laws regarding clean and unclean do not apply to Christians. With thanksgiving and prayer, God makes the unclean clean.

Jesus said to them: Are you not aware that nothing from outside that passes into a man can defile him, since it passes, not into his heart, but into his intestines, and it passes out into the sewer? Thus he declared all foods clean. Mark 7:18, 19
Mark’s comment would reasonably be in accord with the historical situation existing when Jesus said what he did.
At that time the Mosaic law was still in effect, so certain foods, such as pork, were unclean to God’s servants.
That continued to be the case until Jesus’ death brought to an end the Law with its dietary restrictions about clean and unclean food.

Well, the local Jewish population were not convinced about the whole Jesus thing (even though they apparently witnessed the alleged miracles etc.) so it was the gentiles the early Christians had to convert.
Now they (the gentiles) were not going to give up their bacon and foreskins to do this, so they (the early Christians) ignored all the inconvenient laws and commandments from God (they still do this) so as to make conversion more appealing.

The New Testament says to eat everything. So pork is fine. It's just food. The New Covenant has shown that the law was only for Israel, and only during that time. And islam and judaism both lead to hell, because they reject the truths that Jesus is God and Savior. And the "seventh day adventist" doctrine also leads to hell, because it rejects the true Gospel.
The true Gospel: Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell. The truth is that death leads to immediate heaven or hell, depending only on whether the person believed in Jesus for eternal life, or not.
The truth is that Jesus loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell. The truth is that every belief except one will lead to eternal torment in the lake of fire for every person. Because nothing pays for our sins except the death and blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus that is already accomplished by Him . Jesus loves you! The truth is that Jesus is God, and Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works, not deeds, not religions. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing in Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in Jesus to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven when you die, because you believe in Jesus! It is too late to be saved, after death
