Can you remember a chess position after having looked at a diagram just for a few seconds and be able to set it up on a real board?

no, yet on the off chance that I played the board to the position (as opposed to simply taking a gander at a new board) and needed to re-set it up without referencing the first board I could do that.

Some times you can. If you see a piece moves into certain position you can (sometimes) stop it.

Usually. It depends on the position though.

no, but if i played the board to the position (rather than just looking at an unfamiliar board) and had to re-set it up without referencing the original board i could do that.
