Financial Independence from my Parents?

Long story short, all the money I have earned from working the past 5 years is in my parents bank account. I was idiot when I was 23 and agreed to my parents request. But now im moving out and trying to get that money but they refuse. So what are my options?

Since it's not in ---> YOUR <--- bank account then you can't do anything about it.

Your options are 1) Don't move out until you have sufficient funds that will allow you to move out with dignity (not on the street).  Pay a portion of rent & for food to your parents, save the rest - open your OWN bank account.  2) I don't see any  other option.

get a lawyer immediately, probably no chance except through the courts

She paid them rent.  What do you think she could sue for?  NOTHING.

Why do they refuse?  Im guessing because you are making mistakes and/or being irresponsible.

You can sue them but that costs money and you have nothing in writing so you would lose.

You don't really have options other than trying to convince them.

Well you were 18 at the time, so you were an adult, the money is legally yours. Did they give you a reason why they arent giving it to you?

Sounds like you just paid for your childhood upkeep.
