Why does Diet Coke in the US tastes so much sweeter than in the UK? ?

Has anyone noticed that ?? The one in the US is just so much sweeter than the one in the UK, which tastes bitter to me...

Different sweeteners and recipes? I think at some point Diet Coke switched to using Splenda, better known as sucralose, which is much sweeter by volume than even regular sugar, or at least there is a variety of Diet Coke with Splenda.

Probably different artificial sweeteners. Aspartame is slightly bitter compared to sucralose.

The one in the UK is the one that tastes bitter and it has both aspartame and ace K, the one in the US has only aspartame but tastes more like the one in France that has the same sweeteners as the one in the UK. It's very confusing.
