Why do baby boomers obsess over their lawn so much?

Oh no the grass is 0.01 inches higher than I can accept! Oh no there are leaves on it how awful!

During war, enemies like to hide on grassy places that is why they are obsess. To be real their parents are strict as hell and it reminds them of their parents when disciplining them. It is a kind of discipline for them.

when a person comes to your house, the lawn is the first thing they see. if it is messy, they assume the person is messy. If the lawn is neat and clean, then they assume a neat and clean person lived there.

Anybody that cares about their home and property take good care as much as possible.  Why have a home if not taking care of it.  I suppose one should rent an apartment instead.

Not obsessed.  Just being civilized.  Like washing the car every now and then.  Now get a haircut and shave.  Stop asking your mom to pay your rent.  And GET OFF the smartphone.

To be obsessed about it means that they actually have a lawn to care for, and they have the moral integrity to keep their property clean and neat.  It's called pride of ownership.  It's part of the American Dream -- owning your own home, and taking care of it.  They respect their neighborhood enough to mow their lawn and make it look as good as possible.  That keeps the home values up in the neighborhood, and the neighbors happy, too.
