I've broken the knuckle on my little finger I'm being referred to the fracture clinic. will I need an operation?

    They will check whether there are any fragments of bone or detached cartilage that need to be removed. If there are, they'll do it under a local anaesthetic. Then they'll strap your finger into a metal splint which you wear for about 4 weeks.

    None of us can guess without being able to examine you, see what in injure is like, etc. None of us are trained in medicine either. So our guesses would be pointless.
