Not only that, but she was also related to the Russian Czar Nicholas II, who was murdered with his family by the Bolsheviks.  Nicholas II and George V, Elizabeth's grandfather, were first cousins. George was also first cousin to Wilhelm. Wilhelm and Nicholas were third cousins.

Here is one of several famous photos of George and Nicholas together, in German military dress, taken in 1913 in Berlin at the wedding of Wilhelm's daughter. Less than a year and a half later, Wilhelm was at war with both cousins.

Yes.  The Queen's grandfather King George V and Kaiser Wilhelm II were first cousins.  Wilhelm was the oldest grandchild of Queen Victoria.

Incidentally, both King George V and Kaiser Wilhelm II were also first cousins of Czar Nicholas II of Russia.  In that respect you can call the World War I a family squabble.

Yes.  Pretty much all European Royals are related to each other, if only distantly for many of them.

It is true. They were distant cousins, although the Queen was born long after WW1 ended and the Kaiser had been deposed. Both are descended from Queen Victoria: Willhelm was her grandson via her daughter Princess Vikki, and Elizabeth is her great great great grandaughter by way of her son King Edward VII. They never met.

Yes. Both of them descended from Queen Victoria of Britain. Queen Victoria is Elizabeth's great great grandmother, while she's also Kaiser William's grandmother.
