how can i make this wood stain stop smelling so rank?

i stained these pistol grips.

the stain has dried but they smell really strong. (please note. the white spots are not imperfections in my staining process but just some flour i havent wiped off)

is there anything i can spray it with?

I would get the grips off the pistol. The solvent may have an adverse reaction to the metal such as discoloring.

The smell is the solvents in the stain.  They will eventually cure out.  If you coat it with something else that will probably just reek too, and you may get a chemical reaction you don’t like.

Use a hair dryer to drive off any volatile oils that are left from the wood stain it will help it to stop stinking
